Coming to America: The Immigrant Experience
October 12th – December 14th

Coming to America is a reproduction by Lakeland, GA artist Andrew Sabori, of
the 1935 WPA Mural that hung in Ellis Island originally by Edward Laning. This
installation features scenes of American history that tell the story of how America
was built. This traveling mural will be accompanied by portraits of famous
immigrants painted by Sabori as well as copies of their original immigration
papers. This exhibit is perfect for a field trip as it provides a unique perspective on
the Ellis Island experience and the countless amounts of immigrants that passed
through before starting their life in America.
