Production Classes

Students in theater will learn a variety of skills as they work towards a stage performance. These skills include; body movement, expression, script work, vocalization and singing in character, choreography, backstage-set design and building character, costuming & makeup.

Magic Tree House – Pirates Past Noon
Auditions: August 26th, 2021   5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
K – 5th Grades
$40 per month covers script and music CD, show T-Shirt, costumes, sets and props
No previous stage experience is necessary.
Performance: October 15th – 17th
Performances include Friday, October 15th 7 PM, Saturday and Sunday October 16th and 17th will offer a 2 PM Matinee. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.


Frozen Jr. 

Auditions: August 30th, 2021   6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
6th – 12th Grades
$40 per month covers script and music CD, show T-Shirt, costumes, sets and props
No previous stage experience is necessary.
Performance: December 16th – 19th
Presented by Arts Center Youth Theater with Thursday and Friday performances at 7 PM and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 PM. In partnership with the United Way of Colquitt County the Saturday matinee will be free and will include cookies and hot chocolate and photo ops with the cast following the performance. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character, bring their favorite FROZEN doll or toy or wear their FROZEN PJ’s to the performance.

Matilda the Musical
Auditions: January 10th, 2022   6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
K – 12th Grades
$40 per month covers script and music CD, show T-Shirt, costumes, sets and props
No previous stage experience is necessary.
Performance: April 7th – 10th
MATILDA the Musical takes the stage at 7 PM Thursday and Friday and 2 PM Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $12 for all seats.


Traveling Theatre Troupe
Any young adult interested in being part of the Traveling Theater Troupe should come by the Arts Center to fill out a class registration. This group will be notified when the program will start. For more information call the Arts Center at 985-1922.
